Verrazano Vascular Associates Receives the Interscocietal Accreditation Commission Seal of Approval

Verrazano Vascular Associates has been granted a three-year term of accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for: vascular testing in the areas of peripheral venous testing, extracranial cerebrovascular testing, and peripheral arterial testing, as well as vein center accreditation for superficial venous treatment and management.

IAC accreditation is widely respected in the medical community and is only granted to facilities providing quality patient care, in compliance with national standards. The comprehensive application process includes a thorough review by a panel of experts, who assess every aspect of daily operations and the impact on the quality of healthcare, as well as detailed case study review.

Verrazano Vascular is one of only 5 facilities in the State of New York to earn IAC accreditation.

If you're visiting us for a consultation, our Patient Services Coordinator will greet you at the front desk and ask you to provide background information necessary for the consultation. Afterward, you will meet with one of our doctors, who will take a complete history, discuss procedure options, and answer all of your questions.

Before your procedure, you will be greeted by a Patient Services Coordinator who will review your paperwork, followed by a meeting with our Registered Nurse who will discuss your medical history. Next, you will meet your physician who will provide an overview of the procedure and answer any questions you have. Following your procedure, you will be taken to the post-procedure room where the nurse will check your vital signs, allow you to rest and provide you something to eat and drink. Once the doctor has determined that you are ready to leave, your discharge instructions will be reviewed and you will be ready to go home.
